One day
SENSE
found my myspace page
and said
"we like u
you make SENSE to us!"
I said
"Oh gee!"
They said
"Wanna play with us?"
I said
"Of course!"
So you will see me here
from time2time
to say
Hi!

on my myspace
I write about
how I feel
which could be
about all sorts of feelings
realllllly.

My mom found it (uh-oh)
and asked
"Is everything fine?"
I thought about what would be fine
Hair is fine
when it's thin
Gold is fine
when it's pure
Pearls can make your skin shine
when pound fine
but I am never fine
I'm everything
like a stereo
equalizer
some sounds are higher
than others
some are low and rrrumbly
but all sounds are there
except they aren't sounds at all
unless sorrow is a sound
or joy is a sound
or maudlin is a sound
or envy is a sound
but no
everything is not fine

yet what did I say?
yes, mom
everything is fine.

Why?
Oh I don't know.
I guess
I don't want her to feel
R E S P O N S I B L E
for my feelings.
I mean
I'm okay
with feeling everything
I'm okay
not being fine
but she won't understand
she'll worry
she'll try to fix it
but feelings
shift
like moths
in light
and it's nothing to worry about.

But moms don't get abstractions
Fine is fine
Not fine is bad.

So yes mom
EVERYTHING IS FINE
(just for you).
